United Kingdom National Hydrographer pays courtesy call to the Sri Lanka Navy Chief Hydrographer

Rear Admiral Rhett Hatcher, the National Hydrographer and Deputy Chief Executive of United Kingdom Hydrographic Officer (UKHO) and Tim Lewis the Head of partnering and engagement Middle East and Africa paid courtesy call to the Rear Admiral Prasad Kariyapperuma the joint Chief Hydrographer to the Government of Sri Lanka and Chief Hydrographer of the Sri Lanka Navy on 08th November 2022 at Sri Lanka Navy Hydrographic Service.

Admiral Hatcher and the delegation from the United Kingdom visit Sri Lanka to strengthening the bilateral relationships between Sri Lanka and the United Kingdom on the field of Hydrography.

Rear Admiral Prasad Kariyapperuma welcomed the UK National Hydrographer and discussed the Hydrographic services and its evolution in Sri Lanka Navy Hydrographic Services while thanking to the UKHO for the support. UK National Hydrographer appreciated the progress of SLNHS as well.

The occasion was attended by the Colonel Paul Clayton, Defence Advisor to British High commission along with the Officers of the SLNHS.

Mementos were also exchanged between them to signify the importance of the occasion.
