SLNHS handed over Kajugaha Kumbura Lake Chart

As per the directives given by the Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Navy, Rear Admiral UVMP Perera, under the guidance of the Chief Hydrographer of Sri Lanka Navy and the Joint Chief Hydrographer to the government of Sri Lanka, Rear Admiral KASPK Kariyapperuma, the Sri Lanka Navy Hydrographic Service (SLNHS) conducted bathymetric survey with the supervision of the Director Hydrographic Operations, Captain EMA Bandara in Kajugaha Kumbura Lake in Welisara. Accordingly, the final product was handed over to the Chief of Staff of Sri Lanka Navy by the Chief Hydrographer of Sri Lanka Navy at Naval Headquarters on 12th October.

The bathymetric survey was conducted to determine a suitable path for the establishment of a floating restaurant at the Kajugaha Kumbura Lake in parallel to the ongoing construction of a multi-functional hall at the Welisara Naval Complex.

The Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Navy appreciated the Navy Hydrographic Service for its efforts in completing the surveys within a very short period of time while thanking all the officers and sailors who were engaged in conducting bathymetric survey.

The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Navy and the Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral KJ Kularatne, The Director Hydrographic Operations and the Survey In charge of Kajugaha Kumbura Lake, Lieutenant Commander AM Faizal were also present on the occasion, representing SLNHS.
