Chief Hydrographer of the Navy paid a courtesy call to newly appointed Commander of the Navy

Chief Hydrographer of the Navy and Joint Chief Hydrographer to the government of Sri Lanka, Rear Admiral Prasad Kariapperuma paid a courtesy call to newly appointed Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera at the Navy Headquarters on 19th December 2022.

At the outset, Rear Admiral Prasad Kariapperuma expressed his heartfelt greetings to Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera who reached the helm as the 25th Commander of Sri Lanka Navy. This meeting turned out to be the first official interaction between them, after Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera assumed duties of Commander of the Navy. During the ensuing discussion, the Chief Hydrographer of the Navy briefed the matters of hydrographic interest of Sri Lanka to newly appointed Commander of the Navy.

At the end of the discussion the Chief Hydrographer of the Navy presented his book “A view from the International Maritime Boundary Line. India – Sri Lanka”, to newly appointed Commander of the Navy to signify the importance of this occasion.
