Anniversary Celebration of Sri Lanka National Hydrographic Office
The Sri Lanka National Hydrographic Office (SLNHO) was established on 14th December 2023 at the Naval Complex in Welisara. Today, it proudly celebrates its first anniversary with the participation of the Chief Hydrographer of the Sri Lanka Navy, Rear Admiral Kosala Warnakulasooriya, along with the dedicated staff.
The celebration highlighted a retrospective of the past 12 months, showcasing the achievements and milestones of SLNHO. Among the significant accomplishments was the release of Electronic Navigation Charts (ENCs) for Galle Harbour and Colombo Approaches to the international market. During the event, the Chief Hydrographer expressed his heartfelt appreciation to all the officers and sailors who worked tirelessly to elevate SLNHO to its current standard and emphasized the importance of preparing to meet future challenges.
