Annual Check Leveling has been Conducted by Sri Lanka Navy Hydrographic Services

Annual Check Leveling was conducted by Sri Lanka Navy Hydrographic Services (SLNHS) very recently under the guidance of Chief Hydrographer for ensure the accuracy of the Tide poles around the Country. As per the programme check leveling was conducted in tide stations of the Kalpitiya, Delf, Kankasanthurei harbour, Trincomalee harbour and Colombo harbour from 14^th December to 19^th December 2021.

Presently, SLNHS is maintaining 6no's of tide monitoring stations all around the country and it is very much important to maintaining high accuracy of the measurements of the tide all around Sri Lanka. Therefore this is an annual event conducted by SLNHS.

This time a team of 05 members from SLNHS has participated for this session and they were able to accomplish the task successfully.
