Naval Officers Explore Hydrography Applications at DSCSC

On 3rd February 2026, the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC), Sapugaskanda, Makola South, hosted a lecture for Course Number 20, attended by 34 naval officers from Sri Lanka and international navies, including officers from India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Nigeria, and the Maldives.

Cdr(H) LDAS Kumara, psc , representing the Sri Lanka Navy Hydrographic Service (SLNHS) conducted a lecture on “Hydrography Applications in Operational Planning and Execution”, providing participants with insights into the practical and strategic use of hydrography in modern naval operations.

The lecture offered an interactive platform for knowledge sharing, strengthening professional expertise, and highlighting the critical role of hydrography in supporting operational planning and execution for naval forces worldwide.
