French Naval Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service (SHOM) Delegation Visits SLNHS to Explore Hydrographic Cooperation and Capacity Building

A delegation representing the SHOM visited the Sri Lanka Navy Hydrographic Service (SLNHS) on 22nd October 2026 to explore opportunities for capacity building and bilateral cooperation aimed at strengthening Sri Lanka’s hydrographic capabilities.

During the engagement, discussions focused on potential areas of collaboration with particular emphasis on capacity development, knowledge sharing, technical cooperation and the exchange of expertise in hydrography.

This engagement represents a positive step towards fostering future collaboration between SLNHS and SHOM with the potential to enhance Sri Lanka’s hydrographic capacity and strengthen bilateral relations in the field of hydrography.
