Awareness Programme for Survey Recorders of SLNHS
Awareness programme was conducted for survey recorders of Sri Lanka Navy Hydrographic Service (SLNHS) at SLNS Gemunu on 21st December 2021. Chief of Staff and Chief Hydrographer of the Sri Lanka Navy, Rear Admiral YN Jayarathne, RWP & Bar, RSP, USP, ndu, psc graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and delivered the opening remarks making the commencement of the programme. Hydrographic officers and serving survey recorders in different stations around the country attach to the event.
During the programme officers of SLNHS conducted lectures on history, capabilities and surveys undertaken, International events conducted and future of the institution. Further, a practical session on hydrographic surveys and equipments were conducted for giving an opportunity to refresh practical knowledge.
