Training Programme on Global Navigation Satellite & System (GNSS) Survey
Training Programme on Global Navigation Satellite & System (GNSS) Survey was held at Institute of Survey and Mapping, Diyathalawa from 04th to 08th July with the aim of enhancing knowledge of junior officers and junior sailors of Sri Lanka Navy Hydrographic Service (SLNHS) in the field of land survey.
The course was offered by Sri Lanka Survey Department for 02 officers and 15 sailors of SLNHS. The course programme was consisted with Basic concepts of GNSS observation, Data processing and adjustments, precise leveling procedure and modern techniques of survey and mapping.
The certificate awarding ceremony was held marking the culmination of training programme with a high note on 08th July. The ceremony was graced by the senior lecture Mr. NMA Wijerathna of the Institute of Survey & Mapping. During the ceremony he highly commended the active engagement of officers & sailors throughout the course.
